Candidates often ask...
Do I have to sign a contract?
We firmly believe that while we are a great resource, we shouldn’t be your only one. All of our services from the initial phone interview through job placement are completely at-will. We’ll never ask you to sign a contract limiting your job search or forcing you to pay if you leave a job early – we just ask that you keep us in the loop if you’re looking elsewhere!
How does this work?
We’ll put our network to work for you. With hundreds of partner companies in the Twin Cities area and beyond, we start careers in industries such as marketing, human resources, insurance, logistics, and everything “business.”
Once we hear from you, our recruiters will take a look at your background. If they think you’d be a fit for our current openings they will give you a call to start the interview process! We’ll get to know you – your goals, personality, and experiences – so that you can get the job that will start your career. For more details on each step, visit our candidate page.
How can I increase my chances of being placed in a job?
First and most important – stay connected with us! The job market moves quickly and so it’s important to keep an eye out for calls and emails – delaying a response by even a day can mean an opportunity passes you by. We love it when our candidates check in with us to give us an update on how their job search is going outside of us as well.
Second, follow through with your interview prep! We’ll give you tips for how to ace your interview, but it’s up to you to put them into practice. The more prepared you are, the better your chance of landing the job!
Do I have to take a job if one is offered to me?
Our goal is to start your career – not to get you a job. If you don’t think a job offer is a good fit for you, we’ll keep looking!
What’s SPARK?
SPARK is our one-of-a-kind method for assessing each candidate’s individual personality, work style, goals, and experiences. We don’t want to waste anyone’s time by sending you to interviews for jobs you aren’t interested in or that aren’t a good fit for you.
We designed SPARK to help with that and to streamline the process for you as much as possible. No need to take a test – our recruiters are ready to determine your SPARK as part of your regular interview.

While we do place job seekers with jobs like a staffing agency, our goal is to function as a networking group – connecting candidates from our network to companies and jobs that are the launching point to a great career.
Unlike a staffing agency, we will take the time to get to know you and prepare you to ace your interview. Before we even start to talk about job opportunities you’ll meet with one of our recruiters who will evaluate your background, goals, and interviewing skills so that we only talk to you about jobs you will actually want.
Beyond that, it’s also important to know that our services are always free to our candidates and there is no contract to work with us.

How much does it cost to work with you?
Our most popular programs, Career-to-Launch, and Katapult Elite are designed on a “no-fee” model. That means it won’t cost you any more to work with us than it would to have your newest hire on your own payroll – and there is substantially less risk to you!

How do you find your candidates?
Based on our nearly 50 years of combined recruiting experience, we’ve developed a multi-factor recruiting campaign strategy that builds on our relationships with colleges across the country to attract top grads from local markets.
We spend an average of 4 hours communicating with each candidate before they are ever introduced to one of our partner companies for an interview, and that communication continues through the interview process and their Career-to-Launch/Elite programs.
Do you only work in Minnesota?
Not at all! We’re happy to call Minnesota our home-base, but we have recruiting hubs in Kansas and Missouri as well. With over 20 years combined national recruiting experience, we’re ready to connect great candidates with companies all across the United States.
I don’t think a college graduate would be interested in my job, what are they looking for?
It’s not that complicated – most college grads are just looking for a company that values the skills they developed while earning their degree and who will give them a chance – even if they don’t have direct experience.
Whether it’s a strong entrepreneurial spirit developed while working retail, customer service skills gained as a resident assistant or an interest in spreadsheets and organization that grew from electives in economics; college grads are simply trying to apply those skills in the real world.
