It’s a story we hear every day. New college graduates leave school feeling hopeful about their job search, armed with a freshly printed degree and an updated resume.
They sit down eager to complete job applications only to find an opportunity that sounds like a perfect fit. It’s entry-level, in their field of study, and are impressed with the company's stellar reputation but get discouraged because even an entry-level position requires 2, 3, or even 4 years of experience.
So, they toss aside the application only to find the same requirements again and again for similar jobs. The hiring companies are now missing out on qualified candidate and the candidate is frustrated and left feeling like they’ve been deceived.
"What was the point of earning a college degree if I can't even get my foot in the door at a company that is hiring!?" Going through that disheartening experience is precisely what fueled the start of Katapult Network.
